Over the last month, we've seen a steady uptick in our fraud cases showing up. This is due to the Experian hack. In two completely unrelated cases, one person had their entire bank account wiped out by having their banking information added to a PayPal account, and another person had their one credit card that never even leaves home used by people who should know better.
Today, I had several fraud disputes in our cashout account, and as I started looking into it, I had one person attempt 230 different credit cards to purchase I'z. Therefore, we put in some fraud flags, and one of this is that if you attempt to purchase I'z via a Credit Card in excess of 4 times within a 72 hour period, you will not be able to further purchase anything.
For those of our customers who like to purchase multiple times in a day, please be sure to contact us as we do have a max limit per day that you can purchase, and if you're anything like me (who doesn't love a good microtransaction?) who tends to be more impulsive, you may want to give us a ticket to see if your daily can be raised, and that way you won't hit that block.
This should NOT affect current users who use their PayPal balance to buy I'z, only credit card purchases.
Our apologies that this action needed to be taken, but we didn't want to catch anyone off guard in the coming days as they hit that limit. Thank you to all of our residents and please be sure this gets seen by our wonderful shopaholics!
